- MAI usare un blog didattico come un forum, una newsletter, o come un LMS (learning management system).
- Non usare i blog di gruppo (gestiti da diversi amministratori) in educazione.
- Non "forzare" un blog pubblicandolo con sistemi come Moodle, Drupal o Tiki, la cui filosofia "centralizzata" contrasta con quella delle piattaforme blog.
- Non dare agli studenti la possibilità di usare liberamente il blog dell'insegnante (non lo useranno mai!), nè somministrare tramite il blog delle prove di valutazione; il blog didattico è più appropriato per proporre delle attività motivanti - e non valutabili - ad integrazione di quelle svolte in classe, che diano agli studenti la possibilità di esprimersi e di approfondire.
